Much like his character in Berlin Calling, German DJ Paul Kalkbrenner has been forced to cancel a series of upcoming gigs in NYC, San Francisco and Mexico City later this month.
The news arrives at a particularly inopportune time for the a much-loved artist, not least because he only recently announced the dates for the live show in question, Back to the Future, just last week.
In a Facebook post from yesterday, the platinum-selling artist told fans that his doctor ‘absolutely forbid me to set foot onto a plane due to my acute inner ear infection’ and warned that ignoring the problem ‘could lead to worse [problems]’.
Thankfully, Kalkbrenner has promised fans that his team will be rescheduling new dates ASAP.
We’d like to wish Paul a speedy recovery from all of us here at DJ Mag.
