The People’s Forest to host Out in the Forest queer party this weekend

The party takes place at a brewery on the edge of Epping Forest

Out in the Forest are throwing party this weekend as part of the The People's Forest season.

Throughout 2019, Waltham Forest, London's Borough of Culture, is hosting an arts programme of performances, workshops, art and music, curated by Kirsteen McNish and Luke Turner.

As part of The People's Forest programme, this Saturday will see Out in the Forest throw a queer party to explore "our relationship with Epping Forest, interrogating the deep bond we have with forests and woodland, and how this relationship is culturally determined".

The event takes place at the Magic Spells Brewery on the edge of Epping Forest, with a music and perfomance programme running from 9PM until 6AM.

Radical Faerie Drum Circle, a London-based collective who aim to create a safe space to heal through music, will perform at the event. Model, performer and artist Sgàire Wood joins the line-up, as well as JEANOCIDE and Charity Kase.

Government DJ, from Black Obsidian Sound System, a collective that "prioritise the comfort and safety of Black and of colour women, femmes, queers and trans folk", is also slated to perform at the Magic Spells Brewery, with more music from Lewis G. Burton and Nite Dykez's resident Gin.

Out in the Forest takes place on Saturday the 3rd August at the Magic Spells Brewery in Leyton. Purchase tickets and find out more about The People's Forest arts programme here

Homobloc will take over Manchester's 10,000 capacity, Depot, on 9th November for the all-inclusive queer festival, Homobloc.
