Perel has announced a new album, 'Jesus Was An Alien', which will be released via Kompakt on 13th May.

You can listen to the title track below, which features Ninja Tune affiliate Marie Davidson. Perel's new album takes a lead from synth, Italo, and piano house blueprints, all of which feature heavily in the New York-based Geman artist's renowned hybrid and DJ sets.

“'Jesus Was An Alien' is a discourse about whether Jesus was an actual alien, but also a social debate about what is and implies religion today," said Perel of the release in an official statement. "[It] stirs like a late-night revelation, a heady discovery awakened in the dark."

The record is Perel's second full length, following her debut, 'Hermetica', which was released on on DFA in 2018. Previous EPs from the artist have appeared on labels such as Do Not Sleep, Running Back, Riotvan, Uncanny Valley, and O*RS. This summer, she will perform the album in its entirety at a number of venues, including Zenner, Berlin (20/5), London's Moth Club (27th May), and as-yet-unconfirmed spaces in Los Angeles and New York.
