The Pete Tong DJ Academy is set to host a mix series on Apple Music.

After launching the academy — an online learning portal for prospective selectors of all levels to get fully versed in the art of DJing — in April last year, Pete Tong has announced a mix series that will showcase some of the enrolled students.

Each month, Tong will handpick DJ Mixes from the students to be featured on the official Apple Music x PTDJA page, alongside mixes from tutors like Jamie Jones, TSHA, Nicole Moudaber, Carl Cox, as well as Tong himself.

Speaking about the mix series, Tong said: “I know how important it is for aspiring DJs and music makers to get acknowledgement for what they are doing from their peers and mentors. So, I wanted to create a space where our students could express themselves based on what they have learnt in the academy.”

The Apple Music x PTDJA mix series officially launched today (19th). Selected from over 1,500 mixes, they range from house and techno, to melodic and downtempo, and have been submitted from the USA, UK, Kuwait, Sweden, Canada, Japan, and many more.
