Pixelynx and Spinnin’ Records launch remix competition for Joel Corry and Ron Carroll’s ‘Nikes’

Music and gaming metaverse platform Pixelynx and the Spinnin’ Records label have launched a remix competition for Joel Corry and Ron Carroll’s recent single, ‘Nikes’.

Between 22nd March and 7th April, aspiring producers are invited to submit their own remix of Corry’s fresh take on Carroll’s Spinnin’ Records classic, ‘Walking Down The Street’.  The winning remix will then be released on the label.

Entrants are to submit their remixes to the Pixelynx Discord server. Further info and stems with which to make your remix are available here

The competition is hosted by CYPHER, a virtual music artist that performs in Pixelynx’s flagship game, ELYNXIR, and is partially owned as an NFT by a community of members within the game. Members of the wider ELYNXIR community, as well as a committee of representatives from Spinnin’ Records, will vote on their five favourite submitted remixes. CYPHER’s community of owners will then have the final vote on the winning remix.

The winner will be announced on 14th April. Members of the  ELYNXIR community will also have a chance to co-produced a music video for the remix through a series of in-game quests and challenges via Pixelynx’s discord. The video will premiere at IMS.
