POLISH PENSIONERS RAVE AT FABRIC UNTIL 5AM

The pair partied at WetYourself! with Monika Ross and Lamine last Sunday...

An elderly Polish couple attended Fabric nightclub’s WetYourself! on Sunday evening, staying on the dancefloor until 5am.

The pair, in their 80s, had travelled to the UK from Warsaw to visit their daughter, who lives in Watford, and bought tickets to the Farringdon venue after reading a review online.

WetYourself! promoter and DJ Jacob Husley originally thought the pair were lost when he saw them enter the club. He told the Standard: "I was downstairs opening and I saw her on crutches going slowly down the stairs. I thought they were lost but then I spoke to the people on the door and they said they had tickets.”

The pair didn’t speak much English, but Hansen managed to find a Polish-speaker in the venue, who found that they love spending Saturday nights going to clubs at home and had decided to attend a London venue during the visit to see their daughter.

Hansen gave them both a tequila shot to welcome them, told them they could drink all night for free, promised a taxi home whenever they wanted to leave and took them upstairs to the VIP area. When the promoter later returned to check on them they had made their way back downstairs to the dancefloor where he said they were happily “raving to techno”.

Hansen added, “In ten years of doing this every Sunday it's the best experience I've had – it's just amazing.”

The news of the partying couple comes after the same weekend that Adam Beyer and Ida Engberg got married and held the afterparty at Berghain.
