Premiere: Willy 'Unlucky 4 Some'

Glasgow upstart Willy will release a new EP via Liam Doc's Eyeangle Records later this month. Journey through distorted breaks and helter-skelter pads on 'Unlucky 4 Some' now

Willy will release a new EP later this month.

Willy, real name Lewis Williamson, is a 19 year old Glasgow-based producer. The upstart is fast gaining recognition for his slick productions, and this Friday will release a five-track EP on Sub Club resident Liam Doc's Eyeangle Records.

After contributing to Scottish collective MELD's first compilation back in August, Williamson's latest delivery, 'Don't Fall', explores trance sentiments on tracks like 'Chilli Bubs', before diving into bubbling, acid-tinged breaks and chimes on 'Illrene'.

Stand-out offering 'Unlucky 4 Some' closes the EP with a ride through distorted breaks and off-kilter pads. It's another stellar production from Williamson, brimming with peak-time rave energy conjured from erratic drums.

Listen to 'Unlucky 4 Some' below and pre-order 'Don't Fall', out on the 20th December, here.
