PRINCE’S MUSIC TO HIT SPOTIFY AND APPLE MUSIC

Prince’s back catalogue is set to hit Spotify and Apple Music, according to reports from Bloomberg.

Prince’s music remains one of the few collections from a major artist unavailable on the two streaming platforms, but sources close to his estate have reportedly revealed that is set to change.

The source, who asked not to be named as negotiations are being held in private, also said that Prince’s estate are looking to wrap up the deal quickly to capitalise on this year’s Grammys, which take place in February.

Prince’s music has only previously been available to stream on Tidal, a deal that ended in a lawsuit last November.

Prince's famous vault — which was rumoured to contain four decades worth of unreleased music and recordings — also went up for sale for $35 million in October last year.
