After reports emerged that The Prodigy frontman Keith Flint had “joined the hunting set” and “embarked on a new life as a country gent”, the musician has taken to social media to defend his actions.
The news has prompted fierce debate on Facebook and Twitter, with Flint even becoming the target of hacking group Anonymous who have accused him of a ‘fetish for murdering animals’.
In response, the 46-year-old has admitted that he did go riding with a trail hunt, but that no animals were hunted or killed.
The full statement on Facebook reads: 'In regards to a story going around about me right now - yes I live in essex and have a couple of horses. I went riding with the local trail hunt, it was a ride out and NO ANIMALS WERE HUNTED OR KILLED, so my conscience is clear, it wasn't my thing and I won't be going again.’
The group's video for ‘Nasty’ was released in March last year, which depicted a fox being chased through the streets of London.
