The Prodigy are working on new music

“Back in the studio making noise .. brand new Prodigy tunes are gonna roll , boooom”

The Prodigy are working on new music.

In a Facebook post shared to the legendary rave act’s Facebook page today (20th August), it was revealed that the group’s lead songwriter and producer Liam Howlett is “Back in the studio making noise. brand new Prodigy tunes are gonna roll, boooom.”

It marks the first update from the group since the tragic death of frontman and vocalist Keith Flint on 3rd March this year. Following the devastating news, The Prodigy cancelled all upcoming tour dates.

No further details have been revealed as to what the next chapter of the iconic Braintree outfit could hold, but it is heartening to see Howlett making music once again. The Facebook post concludes with a string of hashtags, “#theprodigy #weliveforthebeats #weliveforever #cantstoptherock”

Earlier this month, Visual designer Dan Derham designed and released a Prodigy t-shirt to raise money for mental health charity CALM.

Earlier this year, a petition was launched to erect a statue in memory of Keith Flint in the band’s hometown of Braintree, Essex.
