The Red Bull Music Academy has detailed its plan for its next academy confirming the pseudo pop-up music school will be heading to Montreal’s Phi Centre from Saturday 24th September to Friday 28th October.
It’s the first time the RBMA has returned to Canada since the 2006 edition, which was based in Toronto.
"The Red Bull Music Academy at the Phi Centre expresses the perfect synergies between their concept, the Phi Centre's philosophical outlook and facilities, and our mandates in music and education programming," Phi Centre founders Phoebe Greenberg and Penny Mancuso said in a statement.
"We are honoured to collaborate with them in bringing the prestigious Red Bull Music Academy to Montreal."
Over the five week period, 70 artists from across the world will "exchange personal perspectives and free-ranging ideas on every facet of music making."
The 70 participants are expected to be announced next week and will included musicians, producers and performing artists from across the entire gamut of music.
