Richie Hawtin confirms a new Plastikman album is in the works

Richie Hawtin has confirmed that he is currently working on a new Plastikman album.

The Canadian producer/DJ - who moved up 19 places to 61 in this year's Top 100 DJs - tweeted a fan saying that the long-awaited follow-up to 2014's 'EX' is in the pipeline.

If and when it's released, it will be the techno musician's seventh studio album under the Plastikman moniker.

In August, Hawtin tweeted a fan saying that he would like to return to Chicago for a warehouse party.
