Roland announce two new Serato DJ controllers

The new units include 808 and 909 sounds...

Roland have launched two new DJ controllers for Serato. The more advanced DJ-505 is a two-channel, four deck controller, and appears to be a cut down version of the flagship DJ-808 with the same 808 and 909 sounds and sequencer, with 707 and 606 to follow in an update.

With two line/phono inputs the mixer can also be used in standalone mode but hook it up to the included Serato DJ and eight pads per deck can be used to trigger sounds, cues, slices and more. It's also Serato DVS upgrade ready to implement it into any time code setups. XLR outputs mean it's ready to hook up straight to a PA with separate booth outs for monitoring.

Meanwhile, the 202 has dropped the dedicated 16-step sequencer of the 808 and 505 and replaces the XLR outs with phono, but still has the 808 and 909 sounds on board and comes with a copy of Serato DJ Intro.

The DJ-505 is available soon priced at £589 while the 202 costs £249. Check out the 505 in action below. Roland have been busy recently with the brand new SH-01A and TR-08 announced just last week.
