Rusko reveals he has recovered from cancer

Rusko revealed he had been diagnosed with stomach cancer in May, with the dubstep pioneer subsequently cancelling all summer shows.

Now, in a new interview shared online that you can watch below, Rusko has revealed that he is now cancer free.

Real name Christopher William Mercer, the British artist first revealed that he had been diagnosed with gastric lymphoma, a type of stomach cancer, via Twitter.

In the interview, Rusko revealed he was first diagnosed in the US, before flying back for treatment in the UK. Further tests showed that it wasn’t only stomach cancer as the cancer had spread.

Speaking about treatment he said, “It was scary but you focus on the positives.”

He went on to reveal, “I’ve been to the hospital today to get my final test results at the end of my treatment and they were absolutely all clear.

”I got the official tick in the box and the paperwork. It’s awesome.”

The dubstep pioneer went on to say he feels eager and refreshed to work on new material once his body is ready – as well a perform gigs for UK cancer nurses and the Cancer Trust.
