Shaq donating Super Bowl party proceeds to Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Foundation

He will also be donating to the families of the other victims in last week’s helicopter crash

Shaq will donate proceeds from an upcoming event to the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Foundation, and the families of the victims from last week's helicopter crash.

Shaq, former NBA star and bass DJ, who performs under the moniker DJ Diesel, will throw his Shaq's Fun House Super Bowl party on Friday 31st.

Debating cancelling the event, Shaq took to Instagram to say that "Kobe would want us to push through and celebrate life". He shared that all proceeds will be donated to the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Foundation and "all the families who lost loved ones."

The upcoming Shaq’s Fun House show features Diddy, Diplo, Pitbull, and more, and takes place at the Mana Wynwood Convention Center in Miami.

Shaq and Bryant shared a long-standing Basketball career and friendship. Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and seven others were killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California on 26th January.
