Shed debuts new hardcore alias, The Higher, on XL Recordings: LISTEN

Shed has debuted his new alias, The Higher, on legendary UK imprint XL Recordings. 

The EP, entitled 'The Core', is the first time the Berlin producer, who also goes under the alias Head High, has appeared on the label, which is no stranger to the track's sound having provided a home to the likes of SL2 and The Prodigy, with the latter's Liam Howlett one of DJ Mag's recent interviewees.

As for the tune, it's a stepping number nodding to old school rave through its vocal hooks, melodic stabs and waves of harmony, sampling part of Paradox's 'Wax Breaks' in the process, while going much further than a simple nostalgic throwback. Take a listen below.
