Shesaid.so, a global creative network for female identifying and non-binary people in the music industry, will host an international music conference in Portgual this year.
Taking place from 3rd to 6th October in Portimão, the three day conference, MEETSSS, will host a program of workshops, parties and networking events, as well as activities like Yoga and wine tasting.
The conference will coincide with Shesaid.so's fifth anniversary and the collective shared the event will "embody shesaid.so’s core brand values: collaboration, diversity and inclusion; focus on personal and professional growth for female-identifying professionals in the music industry; nurture community among music executives and creatives of all genders; and showcase the work of women, non-binary and other underrepresented talent in the music business."
There will be a range of female-led panels, featuring The Slumflower blog author Chidera Eggerue, and Jennifer Justice, founder of The Justice Dept, a female focused advisory and legal firm. Sonar’s head of communications Georgia Taglietti and Shesaid.so founder Andreea Magdalina will also speak on the panels.
Party line-ups, additional speakers and the full MEETSSS program will be announced in the coming months.
Last month, Over 250 organisations pledged to tackle the music industry's gender imbalance through PRS for music.
