Skrillex teases 2023 album release with trailer: Watch

Skrillex is teasing upcoming new music for 2023. Watch the clips below.

After wiping his Instagram account, Skrillex shared two video graphics paired with snippets of unreleased music. The first post is captioned "QFF/DGTC 23", which is rumoured be the initials of the multiple in-progress albums the US producer has referred to previously. (In May 2022, Skrillex dropped out of two festival performances and said he was focused on "finishing my albums".) The exact project titles are unknown at this time, but an October 2022 tweet of a childhood photo accompanied by the text "don't get too close" could be a fit for the second set of initials.

The second post is less cryptic, teasing a new track called 'Rumble', out tomorrow, 4th January. The much sought-after track, which features Fred again.. and Flowdan, has been staple in the DJ's sets for several months now.

It's been more than two years since Skrillex released a solo track, October 2020's 'Kliptown Empyrean', and his last and only album so far was his debut 'Recess', released in 2014. In the past two years, he's released a number of collaborations, including tracks with: Justin Bieber and Don Toliver; J Balvin; Noisia, josh pan and Dylan Brady; Four Tet and Starrah; J Cortez; and Swae Lee and Siiickbrain

Last month, Fred again.. tied up his 'Actual Life' album trilogy and released the final LP, 'Actual Life 3 (January 1 - September 9 2022)'.
