Sónar Festival adds Diplo, Ben Klock, Thom Yorke, more

Sónar 2018 just got a whole lot better...

Sónar’s line-up was already looking pretty stacked with the likes of LCD Soundsystem, the Gorillaz and Bicep all set to help the Barcelona-based festival celebrate it 25th anniversary.

Today the festival has announced a further 50 acts, including Thom Yorke (who’ll be revisiting material from both Radiohead and his solo career), Ben Klock, Modeselektor and Alva Noto.

Late last year, the festival began its 25th anniversary with ambitious plans to contact alien life by beaming music into space.

Alva Noto sent a recording of his unborn daughter’s heartbeat, Autechre composed a piece of music based on the first 449 prime numbers, while Jean Michel Jarre sent a piece referencing the film Close Encounters of The Third Kind.

Sónar 2018 will be taking place 14th - 15th June, and tickets can be purchased here.
