SoundCloud details how it will integrate with Serato DJ

SoundCloud is now fully integrated with Serato’s newest DJ software, allowing DJs to mix tracks directly from the streaming service for the first time.

Initially announced back in October, the partnership lets users stream high quality audio from SoundCloud’s catalogue, so long as they use a SoundCloud Go+ premium account with Serato DJ Pro 2.1 or DJ Lite 1.1.

A SoundCloud blogpost confirms forthcoming joint ventures with Native Instruments, Virtual DJ, DEX3, Mixvibes, Hercules and more that we can expect in 2019.

As The Verge reports, there is currently no option for offline use, so a steady wifi connection is essential, although SoundCloud plans to announce the feature in the future.

DJ Mag predicted this move with our 'Streaming Is Coming To The Booth' feature back in July, where we explored the potential effects this change will have on our dancefloors.
