SOUTHAMPTON VENUE JUNK APPEALS TO FACEBOOK FANS AHEAD OF LICENSE REVIEW

Legendary underground venue needs your support...

Legendary Southampton-based nightclub Junk has come under fire today, following an explosive article published in local newspaper the Southern Daily Echo (pictured below).

Described by Junk's management as "somewhat misleading", the owners of the much-loved venue — which has previously won the gong for 'Best Small Club' at DJ Mag's Best Of British Awards — have taken to Facebook to appeal for support from fans ahead of the club's final review on 5th May.

"We will fight this review and do everything we can to save our venue from closure," a representative from the club writes via the Junk Facebook page. "We do not want to be the first in a series of revoked licenses where statistical policing with skewed numbers and figures are used ahead of the actual facts to destroy business and local nightlife culture to justify budget cuts."
