SPRING AWAKENING MUSIC FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES NEW LOCATION

Will now take place at Addams/Medill Park...

It’s all change at Spring Awakening Music Festival this year with Chicago’s much-loved dance music festival moving to Addams/Medill Park near University Village.

“We worked very hard to find a new home for Spring Awakening in a very short amount of time, and would like to thank our fans for their patience and unconditional support,” explains Jeff Callahan, Founder of Spring Awakening Music Festival.

As well as new digs, the festival has assembled an all-star cast of DJs for the three-day festival, with the two mainstages offering a dance music spread fit for a king.

Holding down the DJ stage will be Above & Beyond, The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, Dillon Francis, Carnage, Nicky Romero, DVBBS and Dash Berlin.

Meanwhile the second mainstage  dubbed the Electronic Stage  will see Deadmau5, Zeds Dead, Jamie XX, RL Grime, Flying Lotus, Crystal Castles, Flux Pavillion, Gramatik, Gesaffelstein, A-trak and Madeon.

Across the three-day festival, six carefully chosen brands, including DJ Mag, will host two of SAMF’s stages.

Friday will play host to Body Language and Bass Kitchen, featuring the likes of The Magician, Claptone and Alison Wonderland.

Saturday will see Dirty Bird commander-in-chief Claude VonStroke hosting his own stage  aptly named the Birdhouse  alongside the likes of Danny Daze and Simian Mobile Disco. Whilst the Trance Arena on Saturday will see the likes of ATB, Cosmic Gate and John O’Callaghan reaching for the lasers.

And finally on Sunday, you’ve got Pete Tong hosting his All Gone stage with Maya Jane Coles, Moon Boots and Chicago legend Green Velvet, whilst we’ve assembled the likes of Borgeous, Chuckie and Morgan Page for a proper EDM workout.
