Squarepusher will release his new EP, ‘Lamental’, on 10th April via Warp Records.
In contrast to his January LP, ‘Be Up A Hello’,nthe British producer, real name Tom Jenkinson, shares a more contemplative side of his production style over these five tracks.
Jenkinson took inspiration from 2016’s Brexit referendum for one of the EP’s tracks,‘MIDI Sans Frontières (Avec Batterie)’, which you can hear below. Additionally, the electronic maverick has made the track's stems available to remixers as a form of “internationalist collaboration with sound makers, irrespective of what kind of music they make, where they live, their background or their age.”
Squarepusher has also announced a string of international live dates, with shows in Europe, North America, Japan, and beyond. He’ll be playing at the Roundhouse in London on 15th May, where he’ll be joined by Paranoid London, SCALPING and Ray Keith. Full details and tickets for the tour are available now through Squarepusher's website.
