Stardust have reformed to re-master their 1998 French house classic ‘Music Sounds Better With You’.

The track, the brainchild of Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter, producer Alan Braxe and vocalist Benjamin Diamond, is arguably one of the most recognisable house tracks of the past two decades and has served as a hallmark of the french house canon. Now, in honour of it’s 20th birthday, Braxe has announced that the trio have reformed to re-master and re-release the anthemic cut.

“We did some very subtle compression,” he told Billboard in an interview. “It sounds a bit like on the original 12-inch.“

In the same interview, Braxe revealed that, despite the fact that the trio only ever released one track, they actually had a selection of demos in the works at the time. However, they decided to never go through with finishing an album because, as the producer explained, "It was something totally unexpected when the magic happened. It happened once, and we thought, 'Let's keep it like that’”.

No official release date for the re-release has been announced.
