STEVE ANGELLO ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM FOR 2017, REVEALS ‘STAY’

He dropped the news on his final BBC Radio 1 Residency show...

Steve Angello has revealed that he is set to release a new solo album in 2017, as well as teasing the first track from it. You can listen to it at the end of the two-hour mix below.

The Swedish House Mafia man announced the news on his final BBC Radio 1 Residency show, with the first new material from the as-yet-untitled album being ‘Stay’, featuring Saints Of Glory.

Speaking about the album on his show, Angello said, “I’m going to be taking a break from Radio 1 next, as I’ve got a pretty busy 2017 planned.

“This is probably a good time to announce that there’s a new album coming. It’s almost done. So next time you hear from me, it’s gonna be a lot of hearing.”

Rumours that Swedish House Mafia will reform in 2017 resurfaced last week (Thursday 15th December), though the trio’s manager Amy Thomson categorically denied a reunion is on the cards on Twitter.

That was after a hoax tweet surfaced on the social media platform in October, which suggested Swedish House Mafia would reform in March next year.

Listen to Steve Angello’s final BBC Radio 1 Residency show below, with ‘Stay’ featuring Saints Of Glory from his forthcoming album coming towards the two hour mark.
