STRANGER THINGS SOUNDTRACK TO BE RELEASED IN TWO VOLUMES, PART ONE LANDS FRIDAY

Even more Stranger Things...

In July, DJ Mag revealed that the epic soundtrack to Netflix’s sci-fi hit Stranger Things is getting a release. More details have now been announced, revealing that the OST will drop in two volumes.

The first will arrive digitally tomorrow (Friday 12th August), followed by a CD version via Lakeshore, which lands on Friday 16th September. The second volume will see release digitally a week later (Friday 19th August), with the CD for that dropping on Friday 23rd September.

You can see the full tracklist for the soundtrack at the bottom of the page.

The Netflix original series features a stunning score that occupies the ground between synthwave and Carpenter-esque analogue goodness, and was created by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein of Austin band S U R V I V E.

Australian producer Luke Million, known for having a penchant for synths, revealed a full version of his ‘Upside Down mix’ of the Stranger Things’ opening theme earlier this week. You can watch that below.

And compare Million’s rework to the extended version of the Stranger Things’ theme underneath.
