Play a Stranger Things synth in your web browser

Warbler's delight...

'Stranger Things' isn't just one of the most popular Netflix series out there, its soundtrack is easily one of the best things we've heard on any series, ever. Now a (presumably) avid fan has set up an online synth, allowing users to distort those iconic electronic arpeggios to their heart's content.

The tool, cunningly named Synther Things, takes inspiration from the 80s sonics the show quickly become renowned for, which give more than a nod to the early scores John Carpenter made for his films, such as 'Assault On Precinct 13'. Created by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein of Austin band S U R V I V E, last year the pair made a video delving into the kit they used for the music

We're expecting plenty of people to give this new DIY creation a try, although it's probably best not to attempt that while anyone in earshot is enjoying a tense viewing session, otherwise disagreements may well entail. Give it a go here when the time is right, though, and with any luck you can still pick up a copy of the Stranger Things soundtrack in special edition box set format while waiting for the new season to start on 31st October.
