The Super Mega Ultra Giant Mad Decent Block Party has been cancelled.

The event, announced back in April, was due to take place on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July, with Major Lazer, Billie Eilish, Miguel and G-Eazy amongst the headliners.

A statement was made this morning from Diplo's Mad Decent HQ, citing 'circumstances beyond control' as the cause of the cancellation— which has come just ten days before attendees were due to arrive.

“Unfortunately, putting this event on in the way that it was envisioned has become impossible, due to circumstances beyond our control. All parties involved have agreed that moving forward would be a disservice to fans and artists alike, and cancellation is in everyone’s best interests.”

Refunds for tickets will be available from Front Gate Tickets, with credits sent to the original form of payment and processing taking place on or before Friday 12th July.

Back in 2017 three Mad Decent Block Party dates were cancelled in the Indian cities of Mumbai, Hyderabad and New Delhi. Read the full statement from the crew below.
