Suspected acid attack at The White Hotel leaves two hospitalised

Two bouncers from The White Hotel in Salford were attacked by a man with a knife and a substance police believe to be acid last weekend (29th October).

The incident reportedly occurred at an event headlined by Dopplereffekt in the early hours of the morning.

The man is said to have been ejected from the club earlier returning to carry out the attack and fleeing the scene. The bouncers from The White Hotel were admitted to hospital with serious burns.

The venue said in a statement on Facebook that it was "shocked and saddened" by events over the weekend, before issuing a plea for information from eyewitnesses.
