Swedish House Mafia spur reformation rumours by deleting all tweets

Will a 2018 reunion might be on the cards...?

Swedish House Mafia have reignited rumours of a reunion tour by following each other on Twitter and then deleting all tweets on their Swedish House Mafia account.

The trio split up in 2013 during a tearful final performance at Ultra Miami, since then Axwell & Ingrosso have teamed up together, whilst Steve Angello has pursued his own career.

Rumours of a reunion have been bubbling up ever since, with the last rumour coming from Billboard Magazine earlier this year who said they had been tipped off by sources close to the trio that a reunion was on the cards.

2017 has been and gone and there has been no sign of a reunion, but it would appear that the trio might reform for Ultra’s 20th edition next year, the perfect time for the trio to bury the hatchet and celebrate Ultra’s 20th anniversary with one more performance.

The festival has been hinting at something huge for the last few weeks too, with mentions of a “special anniversary performance”.

It’s not exactly concrete evidence but if the Swedish House Mafia does decide to play one more show — we can’t think of anywhere more fitting.
