Thakzin debuts on Sondela Recordings with ‘The Magnificent Dance’: Listen
It’s the first in a series of singles from the South African artist for the label
Thakzin has released a new track, ‘The Magnificent Dance. Check it out below.
Out now through Defected’s Sondela Recordings, the track marks the first release by the South Africa-based DJ and producer on the Afro house and tech label.
‘The Magnificent Dance’ is a fusion of deep house and amapiano and is the first in a series of singles the producer has lined up to be released on Sondela Recordings in the new year, as well as DJ appearances planned at Sondela events across the globe.
In 2021, the rising producer and DJ surpassed 1 million streams collaborating with South African house DJ, Themba, on ‘Sound of Freedom’. His music has also been played by legendary DJs including Louie Vega, Pablo Fierro and David Morales.
The track ‘China Charmeleon’ by Ndikhokhele ft Nkulu Keys and Thakzin featured in DJ Mag’s recent The Sound Of: Stay True Sounds feature mix.
Sondela Recordings is nominated for Breakthrough Label at the DJ Mag Best of British Awards 2022. Winners will be announced on 15 December 2022, you can buy tickets to the event here.
