Three years on from ‘By Your Side’, Ed Banger Records are bringing out the second album from Thibaut Berland AKA Breakbot — ‘Still Waters’, which is due early next year. With some stunning artwork supplied by French photographer Philippe Jarrigeon, we’re already getting excited.
The Frenchman has commented that the album is "the perfect soundtrack for a last barbecue around a swimming pool. The inspirations of this new album swing between Californian music from the '70s and '80s and disco/funk from Curtis Mayfield to Prince and Michael Jackson.”
The album will be released in early 2016, so stay tuned for more info. While you wait, check out the first single below — an ecstatic disco number which features long-time collaborator Irfane (and he’s got the family involved, as Breakbot’s brother apparently mixed it).
