There’s a club opening where ravers can vote on what the DJ plays via an app

Start-up app PSLY "lets your voice be heard"...

A Canadian club is offering ravers the chance to vote for which track the DJ plays next.

Start-up app PSLY allows club-goers to determine a set by way of majority vote. Originally launched at Toronto's Love Child Social House last month, it is now used at Figures nightclub in the city every Friday.

With the overarching idea of "letting your voice be heard", the app is available to download via the Apple store.

Back in April, we asked: is it time for a total ban on phones on the dancefloor?

Pioneer is now allowing DJs to clear rights for the DJ mixes they record through its iOS app DJM-REC.

Toronto record store Invisible City is to shut its physical address “indefinitely”.
