They Hate Change have announced a new EP, and shared the 96 Back-produced single, ‘Wallabies & Weejuns’. Listen below.

The Tampa Bay duo will release the five-track ‘Wish You Were Here...’ via Jagjaguwar on 26th January, marking their first project since 2022’s breakout LP, ‘Finally, New’, which DJ Mag named as one of its favourites of that year.

Influenced by UK rap and dance sounds, R&B, and the artists they met during their global travels this past year, the EP is led by new single, ‘Wallabies & Weejuns’, which was produced by Manchester-based artist 96 Back

Other production collaborations on the EP include Wu-Lu, DJ Orange Julius and Odd Future/NRK’s Vritra, all of whom the duo met while travelling.

“Our first year of touring consisted of seven tours, multiple weeklong stints in single cities, a gang of festivals, and about 2 months total (non consecutive) spent at home in Florida,” the pair elaborated. “These are some of the songs we made with our old and new friends in the middle of all this.”
