Tom Middleton, Justin Harris, more to play Mighty Force charity fundraiser in Exeter

The label that broke Aphex Twin is back!

Tom Middleton and Justin Harris will join a top notch selection of acts in welcoming back the Mighty Force imprint next month.

First established in 1991, Exeter-based Mighty Force wasn't just the only place to buy decent records south of Bristol during the '90s, but as a label, helped launch the careers of Middleton, Matthew Herbert, Justin Harris and Luke Solomun (as Robotic Movement), and the legendary Aphex Twin.

Although sadly defunct for years, the imprint now returns with the Mighty Force Awakens party, bringing together three rooms of artists at the Exeter Phoenix on 20th May to raise money for charities that support the homeless in the South West — YMCA Exeter, St. Petrocks, Homeless Link and Crisis.

Joining Middleton and Harris in room one are Plymouth pioneers Ribbz & Hurry (aka S.A.S.); room two sees DiY Sound System's Digs, Mr Mulatto and house don Andy Compton take control; and room three plays host to renowned local talents in Verdi, Spider, Lee Waller & Richie Rundle, and Might Force's own resident DJ, Mickey Moff.
