Tomorrowland Unite Spain has been evacuated following a huge blaze on the festival’s main stage in Barcelona this evening (Saturday 29th July).

The fire, which reportedly broke out near a bank of speakers on stage, has seen 22,000 people evacuated from the festival site, Parc de Can Zam, in the Spanish city.

Local media have reported pyrotechnics as the cause of the fire, with estimates that 25% of the stage’s main structure has been destroyed.

The sister event of Tomorrowland’s main Belgian-based festival, the Tomorrowland Unite Spain main stage was reportedly broadcasting footage from Tomorrowland’s second weekend in Belgium when the fire broke out.

Tomorrowland's Belgian edition is set to wrap-up its two weekend run tomorrow, Sunday 30th July.
