Tomorrowland Winter announces DJ competition for festival opening slot

One French DJ will have the chance to play an hour-long set

Tomorrowland Winter will offer competition winners the chance to play an hour-long set at this year's edition of the festival.

Launched by RIFFX, one of the festival's partners, participants should provide two mixes, alongside an optional live video of a set, before the 8th February 2020. Entrants can also get friends and families to vote for their mixes when the recordings go to public vote.

The RIFFX website reads: "The Tomorrowland Winter jury will choose the five finalist DJs from all the participants and, as a priority, from the 25 who have obtained the most votes.

The DJ, having obtained 1st place during the deliberation of the jury, will be invited to open Tomorrowland Winter on the Garden of Madness stage on the 17th March at 7PM"

Runners up will be given the opportunity to play on the festival's RIFFX stage.

The Winter festival, which takes place from the 14th to the 21st March at the Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski resort in the French Alps, will welcome Martin Garrix, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Lost Frequencies, Armin van Buuren, Steve Aoki and more across the week.
