Tomorrowland Winter cancelled due to coronavirus fears

“Today, it is with a heavy heart that we have to inform you that the French Government has decided to cancel this year’s edition”

Tomorrowland Winter has been cancelled due to concerns over the spread of novel coronavirus, or COVID-19. It was due to run from 14th to 21st March in Alpe d’Huez.

A Facebook post from Tomorrowland Winter’s official page read, “The French Government is taking drastic measures regarding the COVID-19 virus in France. Therefore they are enforcing the cancellation of large events, bringing together people from different nationalities on closed festival grounds and event locations.”

The news follows the reported cancellation of Ultra Music Festival in Miami this March, also due to concerns over the spread of novel coronavirus, or COVID-19. The festival was set to take place from 20th to 22nd of this month (March).

The event is said to have been postponed, possibly for a year, which would essentially cancel Ultra Miami in 2020. It would be the first time the festival hasn't taken place since it first started in 1999.
