DJ Mag are bringing you the premiere of Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF) presents House Nation, a four-part series exploring the global phenomenon of house music through the experiences and sounds of leading producers. It’s all part of seven projects LIMF has commissioned around its theme of ‘re-definition’, showcasing music and movements that have redefined popular music and culture.
Following hot on the heels of Reboot's exploration of his hometown of Frankfurt last week, this week's episode comes via Liverpool-native Lewis Boardman who takes us through Liverpool's transformation from a city that was obsessed with Cream in the 90s to a city which now has its own fertile underground house scene to call its own.
Next week we'll be focussing on HECTOR (Guadalajara) for the final episode in the series. The project culminates in a celebration of the genre at Sefton Park Palm House in Liverpool on Friday 22nd July, which will see Yousef, Dennis Ferrer, Reboot, HECTOR and Lewis Boardman all on deck.
More information about the event and the entire LIMF programme can be found via their website here.
