VOODOO FESTIVAL CANCELS FINAL DAY DUE TO DANGEROUS WEATHER

Ticketholders to receive refunds after organisers call off event

The Voodoo Music + Arts Experience, better known as Voodoo festival, was forced to cancel its final day on Sunday as a result of bad weather conditions.

Organisers took the precaution after flash floods and heavy rain was forecasted for the festival site in City Park, New Orleans.

Photos posted on the festival's Facebook page showed the extent of flooding on the site.

Voodoo confirmed that ticket-holders will receive refunds for the cancelled day in a statement posted online: “For 3-Day credentials holders, 1/3 of posted price at time of purchase will be refunded. For Single Day credential holders who purchased for Sunday, November 1, a full refund will be refunded. Fans should visit www.worshipthemusic.com for further information regarding refunds”.

Deadmau5, Eric Prydz and Chance the Rapper were among the artists billed to perform on Sunday.
