808 is a documentary that charts the history of the massively influential Roland TR-808 drum machine, featuring contributions from Diplo, New Order, Pharrell, Rick Rubin, the Beastie Boys, Afrika Bambaataa, Damon Albarn, Felix Da Housecat and many more.
It’s been aired at numerous film festivals through the summer, and is now set to become available to stream on Apple Music on Friday 9th December. You can watch the trailer for it below.
Directed by Alex Dunn, 808 is narrated by Beats 1’s Zane Lowe, and documents the impact of the Roland TR-808’s impact on dance music, as well as hip-hop, pop and more.
