Watch clubbers hold up collapsing ceiling at Manchester's Factory 251

Nobody was injured in the incident...

Clubbers at Factory 251 in Manchester were forced to support the ceiling above their heads yesterday morning (13th February), when a large piece of plasterboard collapsed mid-rave.

“We were all dancing and we just suddenly had this wooden ceiling panel fall on our heads,” attendee Tom Foster told the Manchester Evening News. “As soon as the ceiling went all the lights smashed and fell on everyone, there was crying and screaming, we were just standing there holding it up, with half the room in darkness.”

Thankfully nobody was injured in the collapse, however, a similar incident occured back in February 2014, resulting in seven people being taken to hospital, although this was just a precautionary measure.

Factory 251 have released a statement following yesterday's accident, saying: “A section of plasterboard came loose from the first floor. The same section that came loose on this exact weekend two years ago. At this stage we are uncertain how or why — no one was hurt and the club was evacuated purely as a precaution — there is no structural issue.”

The footage has since been removed from YouTube, but you can still see it on the Manchester Evening News website.
