Skrillex, Fred again.. and Four Tet have shared the full recording of their closing set from weekend two of Coachella 2023. Watch it below.

The 90-minute set was uploaded to YouTube yesterday (7th May) and has already amassed over 500k views. It spans tracks from Sammy Virji and Benny Benassi to Pop Smoke and Miley Cyrus, along with plenty of the trio's own productions and remixes.

The three DJs filled the closing slot after Blink-182 on the main stage on Sunday (23rd April). The surprise announcement that they would play came after Frank Ocean’s withdrawal from Coachella Weekend 2 following doctor’s orders due to leg fractures he sustained in the lead up to the festival.

While some attendees were left disappointed by the news, many took to Twitter to share their excitement following the set. “This is such a beautiful moment in history. seeing three fairly drastically different artists in the dance scene come together and do one of the most insane huge shows of all time together without losing their identities,” one festival-goer wrote in the aftermath.

Four Tet wrote after the set: “Having some of the greatest moments of my life recently. It feels magical. You are amazing @skrillex @fredagainagainagainagainagain And huge love to @coachella.”

The buzz of the set was a welcome distraction from the festival’s logistical issues, including Coachella being hit with a $117,00 fine for breaking a curfew agreement with the city of Indio, California.

Prior to their set at Coachella, Skrillex, Fred again.. and Four Tet last performed together at New York’s Madison Square Garden, selling out the surprise show within minutes. Before that, they played three last-minute shows in London in January.
