WATCH THE TRAILER FOR ZEDD’S DOCUMENTARY, TRUE COLOURS, AHEAD OF RELEASE NEXT WEEK

The film lands on Tuesday 18th October...

Zedd’s documentary, True Colours, premiered at Los Angeles Film Festival in June, and is set for a full official release through iTunes on Tuesday 18th October. You can watch the full trailer for it below.

For True Colours, a film crew followed Zedd - real name Anton Zaslavski - in the lead up to the release of his album of the same name last year, whilst he threw fan parties across the globe.

The documentary traces Zaslavski’s story from being a young musician in a heavy metal band in Germany, right through to the challenges of playing in front of 14,000 people in his hometown. “When you have a show and you have 10,000 kids out there,” he says in the trailer. “You sometimes feel a bit disconnected.”

Zaslavski was also embroiled in a Twitter spat with Diplo earlier this year (March) over an advert for M&Ms. The Major Lazer co-founder criticised the German’s musical contribution to it, accusing the EDM producer of plagiarism, claiming that his production featured a “fake Flume drop”.
