Winter Music Conference announces full program for digital event 2021

NWA member-turned-tech entrepreneur Arabian Prince, Twitch co-founder Kevin Lin, and legendary DJs Junior Sanchez and Marshall Jefferson are all involved in the Miami institution's online incarnation 

Miami's Winter Music Conference has announced its full program for a digital event running on 20th and 21st May 2021. 

Keynote speakers for the two days of panels, music and tech showcases include Twitch co-founder Kevin Lin, revered DJs Junior Sanchez and Marshall Jefferson, and NWA member-turned-tech entrepreneur Arabian Prince. 

Delivered on the Hop-In virtual platform, brands such as Pioneer DJ, Spotify, Beatport, Discogs, Tribe XR, Point Blank, Soundcloud, Viberate and Blockparty are also involved. 

Subjects including the future of VR, streaming and music discovery, tech collaborations, and the need to rebuild the live events sector are all on the schedule for discussion. DJ Mag's Digital Tech Editor, Declan McGlynn, will moderate a session on NFTs — read his in-depth feature on the latest blockchain phenomena everyone from Calvin Harris and Gorrillaz to Aphex Twin and Jacques Greene have been experimenting with. 

Elsewhere attendees will find a Havoc label showcase, short video screenings, and a chance to watch Larry's Garage, a full-length documentary looking at seminal New York venue Paradise Garage. Networking rooms will also be available in the form of The DJ and Producers Lounge, The Blockchain Lounge, The VR / Live Stream Lounge and The Data Lovers Lounge. 5th Dimension, the virtual crew showcasing electronic music labels and artists, will host the official after party on Twitch.
