The XX share stunning short film dedicated to their fans

The first in a new series from the group...

The xx have shared a stunning short film titled We See You — Berlin which features stunning portraits and interviews with some of the group's fans.

The video is part of a series of short films which the group hopes will “celebrate the incredibly close bond between the band and their fans".

Each video will centre on a different country, with the first video featuring footage of The XX's headline set at Berlin’s Lollapalooza festival in September alongside interviews with fans who attended the show.

The video has been directed by Berlin-based filmmaker Sylvie Weber, speaking about the interviews, Weber said: “In the case of ‘We See You’, coming across truly engaged and earnest individuals was not difficult, the vulnerability that The xx expose in their music is the basis for their incredibly close connection to the fans themselves.

"I think we've managed to represent in these four stories the feeling of the many millions who are so profoundly affected by the harmonies of Romy, Oliver and Jamie.”

This year saw the band tour the world with the release of the group's fourth studio album 'I See You'.

The group has also hinted that they're interested in making some techno music in the future, too.
