Zedd on the USA: “I feel scared about being here”

His ACLU fundraiser hits L.A. next month...

Zedd has opened up about his American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) fundraiser show, which sees Skrillex, Bebe Rexha, Incubus and more hit the Staples Center in Los Angeles on 3rd April.

The DJ/producer previously stated that the ACLU benefit show was “not necessarily anti-trump”, and now he’s detailed what spurred him to put the fundraiser together in a new interview with Billboard.

“It was triggered by the immigration ban,” he explained. “I saw some of the tweets, I looked into what happened, and I couldn’t quite believe that it was done the way it was done. I wanted this to be a statement.

"I feel scared about being here and not knowing what’s going to happen. The more things happen, the more I feel better about the fact that I took action and decided to do something.”

Zedd also signed an exclusive publishing deal with Universal Music last week (2nd March), after leaving publishing company Kobalt Music Group.
