STREAM ARGY'S BIGGEST TRIBAL SESSIONS ANTHEMS

The Tribal Sessions resident talks us through his biggest club cuts

Kicking off at Sankeys Ibiza every Tuesday throughout the summer, Tribal Sessions is one of the White Isle's most popular UK exports. Manning the Sankeys decks each week is Argy, the club's 2015 resident DJ and longtime Tribal Sessions devotee, who has become synonymous with the brand. With the Sankeys closing parties set to start in just over a month, Argy counts down his top 10 Tribal Sessions anthems for DJ Mag readers.

Tribal Sessions runs every Tuesday at Sankeys Ibiza. Tickets here

Argy 'Belen'
"My new track Belen on Digweed’s label is a bit of a nostalgic affair. Early '90s British rave sounds and open air melodies. Works on any floor on this planet."

DJ Vibe 'I’ll Take You'
"This record came out on Twisted Records in 2004. I only discovered it last year in Brooklyn at a second hand record store called "The Thing" which looks like a yard sale. It's got such a charming old school feel to it without sounding generic in any way, its baseline can destroy any floor from Ibiza to NYC and back in Japan, you name it."

Jozef K & Winter Son 'Tribal Rhythm'
"Another Tribal Sessions resident and his mate Winter Son deliver a house bomb that could have been released 20 years ago as easily as 20 years from now. Coming out in September!"

Basic Pain Procedure 'Basic Pain Procedure' (Len Faki Remix)
"Len Faki dropped this amazing piece of sophisticated techno on his own label and just brings everyone to the floor. I don’t travel without this record anymore."

Jerome Sydenham 'Darkroom'
"Basically how tribal house music should sound today — an underground classic by the Ibadan Records owner."

Argy 'Alfredo'
"Alfredo is a tribute to Alfredo Fiorito, the father of the Balearic sound. I was also thinking a lot about the legendary Body & Soul parties when I was recording this. [At the party] they would just throw a Vince Watson emotional roller coaster of a track on, before going back to afro or soulful."

Kerri Chandler 'Rising The Sun'
"A good closing song for our Tribal Sessions nights — really emotional and powerful."

Floorplan 'Ritual'
"The one and only master of groovy relentless techno. Another classic from this genius and a bit of a mental track. You really have to know where to place it as it can make you or break you as a DJ."

Roberto Clementi 'Viper'
"A great, great track for the first few hours at Sankeys, excellent clarity and a very modern piece of dub techno."

Mark Henning 'Sunday Slide'
I love what Mark does and this track is a lost gem in my opinion. I normally play this relatively early, but I also use it quite late sometimes too, as a sonic break for the floor. Lovely textures."
