2ManyDJs and James Murphy give their custom rig one more outing
The 2ManyDJs Dewaeles alongside James Murphy are bringing their magical Despacio setup to the Roundhouse this September, and they’ve just added a Saturday date to score a hat-trick.
Straight from appearances at Lovebox, Glastonbury and Citadel festival, the event, titled ‘Despacio In The Jungle’, will no doubt see the eclectic selectors spinning a heady mix of rare grooves and disco, along with some eccentric curveballs.
The custom-built, 60,000 watt and vinyl only system has the power potential of Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage, but is geared towards just 1,000 people.
Speaking to the NME recently, 2ManyDJs said, “Despacio is not about the DJ, it’s about the party. People can really dance — really really dance — not just stand there and jump up and down. There’s just the three of us playing from the very beginning ’til the very end, which is usually between seven and eight hours.”
