Spectrasonics announce Omnisphere mega-instrument

It's been over two years in the making, but Spectrasonics follow up to Atomosphere looks to be justifying the hype that's building around it.
The instrument boasts a massive audio library of psychoacoustically enhanced sounds with tonnes of real-time tweakability.
Behind the scenes is a newly developed synthesis engine dubbed 'STEAM' which allows high-resolution Streaming Sample Playback, Integrated FX, Variable Waveshape synthesis, Granular synthesis, FM synthesis, polyphonic Ring Modulation, Timbre Shifting, and a comprehensive Flex-Mod™ modulation routing system, to name a few.
Main man Eric Persing will be teasing it out in the coming months with a series of self presented videos showing off the awesome sounds of the Omnisphere.
